Children risk their lives using ropeways to reach schools

Uttarakhand's Mawani Davani village of Dharchula in Pitthoragarh witnessed a painful scene, where the school children have to cross the Gauri river through manual ropeway keeping their lives on stake to go to school every day. It is the only way to reach to their school. Once there was a time when a bridge was also built here, but the disaster of 2013 washed it away.
