"After parties like Congress and TMC, now Delhi’s ruling AAP is on the CBI radar. Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena Friday recommended a CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) probe into the new Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22 for alleged procedural lapses in granting liquor licenses.
There are allegations that, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia allegedly made certain changes in the policy and gave undue benefits to the licensees on his behalf without informing the cabinet or taking the LG’s approval.
Allegedly the money earned with this were used by AAP in Punjab elections.,
The AAP on the other hand, has rejected the charges against it. Party chief Arvind kejriwal attacked LG and called these as “false allegations”.
This is the second minister in the Arvind Kejriwal led Delhi govt to face Central agency probe. Health minister Satyendar jain too has been under ED lens. Sisodiya who has been loyal deputy to Kejriwal is seen as a right hand of Kejriwal in the party.
