747 ‘anti-India’ websites, 94 YouTube channels brought down

Information and broadcasting minister Anurag Thakur announced that the websites running anti-India agenda and conspiring against the country will be shut down. Over 747 websites 94 YouTube channels 19 social media accounts and 747 URLs were banned and an announcement for shutting down 35 others has been made. This is amid the crackdown on freedom of speech and the arrest of journalists for dissent against the government.
