In order to provide quality education to economically weak students belonging to the minority communities, residential schools have been set up by Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TMREIS).
Currently, the society runs 204 schools across 31 districts in the state with 67,234 students enrolled. Speaking to ANI, Principal of TMREIS Golconda S Vijay Kumar said, “This school was established in the year 2016 and 2017. Since then each class has 80 seats, we received 520 applications for 80 seats. Among them an entrance test was conducted and 80 students were selected. This year we got 600 applications, out of which 80 were selected. In every class, 60 seats are given to the minority and 20 to the non-Minority. Kids here also participated in games and sports. Thanks to TMREIS President AK Khan and all the staff. Thanks to KCR for providing all the facilities.”
