Overview
While high-performance crossovers have existed for some time, the Urus looks to ignite a more exotic breed of hi-po SUV. Its dizzying price tag and menacing exterior design make the high-riding Lamborghini trendy transportation for professional athletes and celebrities. However, the Urus isn't all show and no go. Its 641-hp twin-turbo V-8 powertrain and standard all-wheel drive produce thundering sounds and otherworldly acceleration. Along with the agility and feedback of a sports car, this Lambo can tow heavy loads and tackle unmapped roads. Despite sharing parts with less expensive corporate siblings such as the Audi Q7 and Q8, the 2020 Urus is an incredibly entertaining and versatile machine.

What's New for 2020?
For 2020, Lamborghini leaves well enough alone by not making any significant changes to the Urus.

Pricing and Which One to Buy Urus: $211,321

The term "value" can be thrown out the window when shopping for any Lamborghini. Still, the 2020 Urus is the most affordable and useful model in the company's high-priced portfolio. We'd pick one in the flashiest exterior pigments, the largest wheels (measuring 23 inches), and the upper and lower carbon-fiber packages for added visual flair. For consistency, we'd choose the colorful Sportivo faux-suede upholstery and the fully electric front seats with ventilation and massage. We'd also switch to the four-seat configuration, which adds rear-seat power adjustments and heated surfaces. The Bang & Olufsen audio system and rear-seat entertainment are worthwhile options along with the available Off-Road modes. The hands-free tailgate and the Full ADAS package (adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitor, lane-keeping assist, etc.) round out our recommended Urus.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance
The 2020 Urus is powered by a twin-turbo V-8 that makes a stout 641 horsepower, burbles deeply when idling, and absolutely howls under full throttle. Permanent all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission conspire with all that power to enable fantastic acceleration. In our testing, the Urus went from zero to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds and tore up the quarter-mile in 11.4 seconds at 121 mph. Likewise, Lamborghini estimates a top speed of 190 mph. The 2020 Urus feels athletic from behind the wheel, too, with quick steering and stable high-speed cornering. With air springs at all four corners, the Urus has adjustable ride heights based on its various drive modes. Standard carbon-ceramic brakes ensure that the Urus stops as well as it goes—braking from 70 mph to a stop in 149 feet.
