'Loyal Wingman' MQ-28A Ghost Bat From Australia, Has a Range of More Than 2.000 Meters

Boeing Australia has named its newest combat drone, the MQ-28A, the Ghost Bat.
The name is taken from a spooky predatory bat species endemic to the continental country. The Ghost Bat Drone (Ghost Bat) has several similarities with the mammal that has its real name, namely using sensors to find prey, and hunting style in teams.
Choosing the name Ghost Bat reflects the unique characteristics of the aircraft's sensors and intelligence, monitoring and spying capabilities," said Glen Ferguson, Director of the Australian and International Air Power Team Building Systems Program at Boeing.
Its official name in the military is MQ-28A. In United States military idiom, the letter 'M' stands for multi-mission, while the 'Q' means drone. The '-28A' follows the name of the US Navy's aerial refueling and reconnaissance drone: the MQ-25A Stingray.
This drone is 11.7 meters long and 7.3 meters wide.
It is capable of flying at subsonic speeds and has a range of more than 2,000 kilometers.

AI-assisted autonomous aircraft will be able to fly on their own while maintaining a safe distance from manned aircraft.
It will also be equipped with a sensor package that will allow intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) as well as tactical early warning missions to be carried out.
