The seizure of Petronas assets as part of the US$15 billion arbitration award to the descendents of the last sultan of Sulu have highlighted their seriousness about their claims over Sabah. There were reports, as recently as last December, of a purported plan to send an armed Sulu militia to invade Sabah.
