Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair was moved to Bengaluru from Sitapur by Police on July 8. Zubair was first arrested on June 27, after a FIR was registered against him based on a Twitter post, which another Twitter handle had alleged to have ‘hurt Hindu sentiments’. Zubair is in judicial custody in a case registered by the Delhi Police for allegedly hurting religious sentiments over a tweet posted by him in 2018.
