More than 200mm of rain over 24 hours on mid-north coast

The Bureau of Meterology expects the weather system near Port Macquarie on the Mid North Coast to shift further off the coast bringing drier and more stable conditions this morning. The immediate threat of severe weather in teh area has passed but residents are told to remain alert and monitor conditions as further warnigns may be issued.
