दांत का फोड़ा या दंत फोड़ा का मतलब दांतों या मसूड़ों में पस से है. यह तब होता है जब मुंह में संक्रमण होता है. यह बहुत दर्दनाक हो सकता है और इसकी वजह से आप काफी बीमार महसूस कर सकते हैं. यदि इसका इलाज नहीं करते हैं, तो यह बदतर हो जाएगा और फोड़े के आसपास की हड्डी खराब हो सकती है. यह फोड़ा दांतों के अंदर, मसूड़ों में या हड्डी में जगह बना सकता है. यह जीवाणु संक्रमण के कारण होता है. दांत के अंत में दंत यदि फोड़ा है तो इसे पेरियापिकल कहा जाता है जबकि मसूड़े में फोड़े को पेरियोडॉन्टल कहा जाता है. यह अनुपचारित कैविटी, चोट या पहले किसी दांत संबंधी इलाज के कारण हो सकता है.

Tooth abscess or dental abscess refers to pus in the teeth or gums. This happens when there is an infection in the mouth. It can be very painful and because of this you can feel very sick. If it is not treated, it will get worse and the bone around the abscess may get damaged. This abscess can form inside the teeth, in the gums or in the bone. It is caused due to bacterial infection. If there is a dental abscess at the end of the tooth then it is called periapical while abscess in the gum is called periodontal. It can be due to untreated cavity, injury or any previous dental treatment.
