In an exclusive interview with India Today/Aaj Tak, an eyewitness to the beheading of tailor Kanhaiya Lal by two men, recounted the grisly attack. The eyewitness, who worked at Kanhaiya Lal's shop, said the two accused, Mohammad Riyaz and Ghouse Mohammed, came on a bike and parked it right in front of the shop.

He continued saying, “When they entered the shop, Kanhaiya Lal, a co-worker and I were present inside the shop. They had come on the pretext of getting clothes stitched. All of a sudden, they attacked Kanhaiya Lal."

“No help came forward from outside despite our pleas. The accused fled away on the same bike,” the eyewitness said.
