Nupur Sharma Must Apologise for ‘Prophet’ Remarks; SC Slams BJP Spokesperson, Delhi Police

The Supreme Court’s vacation bench refused former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma’s plea for clubbing of FIRs lodged in various states against her for her remark against Prophet Mohammad. The bench of Justices Surya Kant and J.B. Pardiwala allowed her to withdraw the plea. However, during the hearing the two came down heavily on her for her statement as well as her plea to club the FIRs. They also questioned inaction against her with so many FIRs being registered. They implied that Delhi Police had been giving special treatment to Nupur Sharma as she belonged to the BJP.
