Honey Bee industry confident they have plan to eliminate parasite threat

Beekeepers in Newcastle are holding an urgent meeting tonight desperate to contain the spread of a destructive parasite as varroa mite was first detected at the city's port last week. The honey bee industry is confident a plan to destroy hundreds of hives will be enough to eliminate the threat.
