Former deputy prime minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi told the High Court on Monday (June 27) that he RM65mil funds from Yayasan Akalbudi (YAB) that went into a fixed deposit account at Messrs Lewis & Co were contributed for charity purposes, and not from illegal activities.
