By-elections were held in two Lok Sabha seats of UP. Both the seats came into the possession of the BJP and Akhilesh Yadav has suffered a setback as both seats belonged to the Samajwadi Party. Azam Khan was MP from one seat, i.e. Rampur, and Akhilesh himself was MP from the second seat Azamgarh.
