Father who tried to kill daughter tells court he wants to regain her trust

An Adelaide father who tried to kill his young daughter out of vindictiveness towards his wife hopes to one day regain his child's trust. Prosecutors have told the court Sean Mate's 2020 crime was pre-meditated but defence lawyers say the 45-year-old is sorry and relieved his daughter hasn't suffered permanent damage.
