Most of the elderly in Kilifi County experience ill health that causes a lot of suffering. The illnesses; diabetes, stomach disorders, arthritis, and others are most of the time associated with their old age. However, in a bid to help the elderly in the region, Khairat Medical Foundation has launched a free medical program for the elderly. So far, 150 elderly persons have been registered and are recipients of free drugs and medical check-ups.
