How I Bought My House for $318,000 in Elizabeth, NJ | Owning It | Better Homes & Gardens

Jose Fuentes always dreamed of buying a house for his family. After more than two months of house hunting and three failed offers, however, he began to lose hope and thought it was time to press pause. As fate would have it, that third offer was ultimately accepted despite its initial rejection, and he became a homeowner at 23 years old. The New Jersey home has plenty of space for his parents and brothers–in addition to him and his dog–and renovations are already under way. As a DACA recipient, Jose hopes to inspire fellow Dreamers through his story and prove that homeownership IS possible.
