Metro Manila stays under alert level 1 | New Day
  • 2 years ago
The country records new cases of the more transmissible Omicron subvariants. The Health department logged 6 new BA.5 and 10 more BA.2.12.1 cases. These were detected across Metro Manila, Cagayan, Calabarzon and Bicol in Luzon as well as Eastern and Western Visayas, and Northern Mindanao. The DOH is now checking the travel history of the patients. The agency says, the current uptick in infections cannot be attributed to the new subvariants just yet.
