Garden Report: Celtics Plagued by Turnovers, Lose to Warriors 104-94 in Crucial Game 5
  • 2 years ago
The Boston Celtics traveled to the Chase Center to take on the Golden State Warriors in Game 5 of the NBA Finals. Unfortunately, it seems like a lot of the same issues on offense that have haunted the Celtics during the playoffs have begun to snowball into Game 5. Boston struggled again to take care of the basketball and their shooting for the first half was dreadful, but with the deficit at 11 at the end of the first half, the Celtics were not out of things just yet.

After an impressive 3rd quarter only slightly spoiled by a buzzer beater three from Jordan Poole, the Celtics had cut the lead to single digits heading into the home stretch. But all of the good work Boston had done to crawl back into the game went out the window when they reverted to old habits and sloppy execution. Golden State regained and stretched their lead, beating Boston 104-94 and taking a 3-2 series lead heading into Game 6 at TD Garden on Thursday.
