'Artist draws a self-portrait... from the perspective of his Subconscious Mind'

'Cody Tarantino's first time drawing with colored pens was an experience worth witnessing.
The artist revealed to us that after creating black and white artworks for years, he decided to try his luck with some colors. He went into the test with absolutely no idea about what he would be drawing.
"I used my intuition to layer images and memories that were flashing through my head at the time," the artist said. "Each aspect is synonymous with an experience or interaction.
"As I progressed, I found myself in the zone, or the flow state. Time no longer governed thought, and my subconscious mind acted as a guide. This piece was becoming a mental map. I decided to add aphorisms that often repeat in my head and memories from my childhood; all hidden within the layers of writings and drawings."
