Cebu province makes face masks optional outdoors | New Day

A turning point for Cebu amid the pandemic. The province is no longer requiring the use of face masks in well ventilated and open spaces.

Governor Gwen Garcia signed the executive order earlier this week. The order does say that masks are still needed in closed and air-conditioned spaces as well as among people showing COVID-19 symptoms. Garcia says adjusting the mask mandate is a necessary step towards the new normal.
