ACT government agrees to decriminalise small amounts of illicit drugs

In a first for Australia, the ACT government says it will back a bill to decriminalise the possession of small amounts of drugs like cocaine, ice, heroin and ecstasy in the national capital. And with the new Albanese government supportive of the reforms, the legislation is unlikely to be over ridden by the federal parliament.
