Consider This: Traffic Congestion (Part 1) — An Insurmountable Problem?

Data by the Tomtom Traffic Index has shown that traffic congestion in Kuala Lumpur during peak hours in the morning and evenings have been consistently worse than pre-pandemic levels in 2019. A study done by Boston Consulting Group found that people living in KL spend about 53 minutes stuck in traffic jams every day. But congestion doesn’t only wastes time, it also increases pollution and traffic accidents. Tonight we take a closer look at some of the policy measures that might work to reduce traffic congestion in KL and the Greater Klang Valley Area.
