This is the adorable moment a young girl burst into tears of joy after her parents surprised her with a new puppy. Mum Gemma Duffy organised the surprise for her daughter Isabella's tenth birthday. The family were on a day out and stopped at a pub in Spitalfields, where they 'accidentally met' bulldog breeder Larry Cooley, owner of The Bully Ranch, in Essex. Gemma, from Hammersmith, London, said: “We had said to my daughter that we were going to a pancake shop and just going to walk around, and we said 'let’s go in here for a drink'." The video shows Isabella Duffy and her little brother, Patrick, seven, unknowingly petting the puppy before their dad is heard saying 'Isabella, happy birthday'. This is when Isabella realises the puppy - now named Cookie - is for her and bursts into tears. The adorable moment quickly evolves into the girl clutching the dog to her chest and sobbing with joy. Gemma added: "For years they’ve been asking for a pet and we had kept saying 'no, no, no, when we move, when we move'." Now that the shock has worn off, Gemma says they are all 'besotted' with the dog. She added: "The dog is just part of the family life now. He's really quite laid back. He's got a great temperament. Cookie's very lazy. We have to encourage him for walks with lots of treats." Cookie even has his own little Instagram account.
