Qatar is a country where Sharia law is strictly followed. According to the report of Jansatta, only 8 Christian groups have been given legal recognition here apart from Shia, Sunni. All other religions are considered illegal here. This rule is followed so strictly that those who follow any other religion have to take permission from the administration for worshiping here.

कतर वो देश है, जहां शरिया कानून का सख्ती से पालन किया जाता है। जनसत्ता की के रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक यहां पर शिया, सुन्नी के अलावा सिर्फ 8 ईसाई समूहों को ही कानूनी मान्यता प्रदान की गई है। बाकी से सभी धर्म यहां पर गैर-कानूनी माने गए हैं। इस नियम का यहां इतनी सख्ती से पालन किया जाता है कि किसी और धर्म का पालन करने वालों को यहां पूजापाठ आदि करने के लिए प्रशासन से अनुमति लेनी पड़ती है।
