Consider This: Oceans Day (Part 2) — Sabah’s Commitment To Its Seas
  • 2 tahun lalu
The United Nations marks World Ocean Day on June 8th every year -- to remind us of the major role the oceans play in our everyday life. They are the lungs of our Planet, a major source of food and medicine, and a critical part of the biosphere. The theme for World Oceans Day 2022 is: “Revitalisation: Collective Action for the Ocean”, under which the UN is calling for urgent action as the health of the ocean is “at a tipping point”. Melisa Idris and Sharaad Kuttan speak to Dr Achier Chung, Lead Marine Biologist, Reef Guardian, which is a non-profit appointed by the State Government of Sabah to manage the Sugud Islands Marine Conservation Area.
