देश की चुनावी-व्यवस्था में जल्द कोई बड़ा बदलाव देखने को मिल सकता है। क्योंकि चुनाव आयोग देश में रिमोट वोटिंग की संभावनाएं तलाश रहा है। रिमोट वोटिंग दरअसल वोटिंग या मतदान की वो व्यवस्था है, जिसके ज़रिये लोगों के उनके कार्यस्थलों से ही वोटिंग करने की सुविधा होगी। दरअसल देश में एक बड़ी आबादी, जिसमें एक बड़ी संख्या असंगठित क्षेत्र के मजदूर या अन्य कामगार शामिल हैं, जो चुनाव के समय दूसरे राज्यों में अपने कार्यस्थलों पर रह जाते हैं और वोटिंग के अधिकार से वंचित रह जाते हैं।
