Bhagavad Gita 4.3-5
by HG Dravida Dasa 6/6/2022
When Krishna said that He spoke the Bhagavad-gita to the sun-god millions of years before, Arjuna was apparently puzzled and said to Krishna, "The sun-god is senior by birth to You, so how could you speak the Gita to him?" Arjuna is not inquiring for himself but for those who do not believe that Krishna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Krishna replies, "Many, many births both you and I have passed. I can remember all of them, but you cannot." Arjuna is the eternal friend of Krishna and so was present when Krishna had spoken to the sun-god eons ago. But because Arjuna is a jiva soul he changes his body every time he dies, and thus he forgets everything from his previous birth. But Krishna never forgets anything because He never changes His eternal body.
