US Ambassador to India Patricia Lacina on June 07, during the student visa day celebration, said that the US mission to India continues to prioritise students for visa interviews.

“Indians are 2nd largest group of international students in the United States. We have opened tens of thousands of visa appointments and expanded our interview waiver options for students under new visa guidelines. Students who previously held any US visa can apply using the Dropbox service to bypass in-person interviews,” she added.
