After the Kanpur violence, police is on toes and has taken strict action in this regard. Arrests are being made every day after the FIR got registered in this case. On Sunday, 5 more accused have been arrested and so far, a total of 29 accused have been detained in this case. The police has already caught Zafar Hayat Hashmi, who is being called the mastermind of this clash. Kanpur Police Commissioner Vijay Meena said that the links of PFI are being found behind this violence, some documents related to it have also been recovered, which are being investigated.
