Delhi NCR Hit By Hail Storm, Two People Killed, Trees Uprooted, Vehicles Damaged In Unseasonal Weather Conditions

On May 30 evening, thunderstorms, rain and winds with speed up to 100kmph were witnessed in Delhi. Several trees were uprooted leading to traffic jams. Many vehicles were left damaged. As reported by NDTV, two people were also killed due to rain. Nearly 300 calls of trees falling were received by civic authorities. India Meteorological Department (IMD) attributed the developments to a Western Disturbance-induced cyclonic circulation over northwest Rajasthan and adjoining Pakistan, reported NDTV.
