Jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s lawyer has filed a petition in Delhi’s Patiala court seeking increased security. The lawyer alleged that Lawrence Bishnoi could be killed in “fake encounter” by police, or rival gangs could launch an attack on him. The name of Lawrence Bishnoi gang has cropped up in connection with the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala. 

Meanwhile, protests have erupted after the singer's murder.
