Punjabi rapper Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Jawaharke village of Mansa district on Sunday, May 29. The incident took place soon after Punjab Police withdrew security of 424 people, including Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala.

Meanwhile, on the eight-year anniversary of the PM Narendra Modi-led BJP government, the Prime Minister announced that benefits under the PM-CARES for Children Scheme to support those who lost their parents during the Covid-19 pandemic have been released.
