‘No oppose, no impose, only promote’: VP Naidu on language debate

Amid the language row, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on May 28 opined that there should not be imposition or opposition to any language in the country. Addressing an event in Chennai, the Vice President said, “Every Indian language is very rich. We must promote our mother tongue, motherland. We should not oppose any language but we must support our language. No imposition of any language and no opposition to any language.”
