it would reduce its flight schedule by about
100 daily flights from July 1 to August 7. .

The move is reportedly meant
to prevent summer travel disruptions
amid surging post-pandemic demand.
According to Delta, the reduced schedule will , "build additional resilience in our system
and improve operational reliability for
our customers and employees.".

Along with the announcement, Delta said
that the company would contact customers
affected by the schedule changes.
Business Insider reports that Delta is working with the Federal Aviation Administration to improve air traffic control and hiring new crew members.
The airline said that 2.5 million
passengers are expected to fly on Delta
flights over Memorial Day weekend.
That is a 25% increase from the same time in 2021.
