The Danish sovereign opened up about her relationship with the British monarch in a rare interview. Queen Margrethe, 82, spoke about the similarities she shares with the Queen, 96, and how close they have grown to become over the past decades. The Queen, Margrethe said, always invites her Danish counterpart for lunch whenever she travels to London and gets "on very well indeed" with her.
