After the wheat export ban, the government has now banned sugar export effective from June 1. The curbs on sugar export have been made due to the rise in the prices and this ban may run till October. This comes two weeks after the center banned wheat exports after an intense heatwave hit output and domestic prices hit a record high. Watch this video.
