Only 500 Namazis allowed inside the Masjid, police in action

Today, on the occasion of Friday, a huge crowd has gathered in the Gyanvapi Mosque of Varanasi. The gates of the mosque had to be closed when more than 700 worshipers arrived. However, the Masjid Committee had already issued an appeal that people should offer Namaz only in their homes, because the Vazukhana is sealed and it can cause problems. After which it was announced from the loudspeaker of the mosque that only 500 people are allowed inside. Police force had to be deployed outside the mosque. See this ground report.
