India had banned the export of wheat a few days ago to control the prices of food grains and decrease in wheat storage in the country. After which many countries of the world, especially the countries belonging to the G7 group, had appealed to India, that India should withdraw its decision. On this decision, India has now defended itself in the United Nations. Along with this, India also raised the issue related to discrimination in the stocking and supply of food items in the world.

देश में अनाज की कीमतों को नियंत्रित करने और गेहूं भंडारण में आई कमी को लेकर भारत ने, कुछ दिन पहले ही गेहूं के निर्यात पर प्रतिबंध लगा दिया था। जिसके बाद दुनिया के कई देशों खास तौर से G7 समूह से जुड़े देशों ने भारत से अपील की थी, कि भारत अपना ये फैसला वापिस लेले। अपने इस फैसले पर भारत ने अब यूनाइटेड नेशंस में अपना बचाव किया है। इसके साथ-साथ भारत ने दुनिया में खाद्य-सामग्री की सटॉकिंग और उसकी आपूर्ति में भेदभाव बरतने से जुड़ा मुद्दा भी उठया।
