Supreme Court ordered the release of AG Perarivalan, convicted in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case
Verdict is expected to pave the way for the release of six convicts in the case
Perarivalan was imprisoned for life along with Murugan and Santhan
He was arrested on June 11, 1991, at Periyar Thidal, Chennai, by CBI
He was charged with providing two 9-volt batteries for the explosive device to assassination conspirator Sivarasan.
