Justice GR Swaminathan had gone out of town to Nagercoil on Sunday to attend a wedding ceremony. From there he heard a case through WhatsApp. During the hearing, the Justice said that the Inspector attached to the Hindu Religious and Charity Department does not have the right to issue an order to stop the Rath Yatra to the temple administration and the trustee, so the order of the Inspector is set aside.

जस्टिस जी आर स्वामीनाथन रविवार को एक विवाह समारोह में शामिल होने के लिए शहर से बाहर नागरकोइल गये थे.वहीं से उन्होंने वॉट्सऐप से एक मामले की सुनवाई की. सुनवाई करते हुए जस्टिस ने कहा कि हिंदू धार्मिक और परमार्थ विभाग से संबद्ध निरीक्षक को मंदिर प्रशासन और ट्रस्टी को रथयात्रा रोकने का आदेश जारी करने का अधिकार नहीं है, ऐसे में निरीक्षक का आदेश को खारिज किया जाता है.
