PM leaves Downing Street for Belfast

Prime Minister Boris Johnson departs 10 Downing Street early on Monday morning for Belfast, where he will hold emergency talks with Northern Ireland’s political parties. The DUP is currently refusing to join Sinn Fein in a new Executive or to allow the election of a speaker to the Assembly unless there is fundamental change to the Northern Ireland Protocol.
