On the occasion of Buddha Purnima, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Lumbini in Nepal on Monday morning from the newly inaugurated Kushinagar International Airport today. PM Modi received a grand welcome at the airport by Sher Bahadur Deuba. Besides, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Nepal's Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba took part in the foundation stone laying ceremony of a center for Buddhist culture and heritage in a plot belonging to the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC), Delhi within the Lumbini Monastery area.
