Government has removed around 1,500 obsolete laws, provisions: Law Minister Rijiju

While addressing at the foundation stone laying ceremony of new High Court building in Srinagar, Union Law and Justice Minister, Kiren Rijiju on May 14 said that the Central Government has already removed close to 1,500 obsolete laws and provisions, which are become a burden for the common man. “We have already removed close to 1500 obsolete laws and provisions, which are become a burden for the common man. We are in the process of identifying more such acts. Some of the colonial-era laws, some of the provisions which are not necessary in today's time,” he added.
