Tomorrow's teachers strike will go ahead as planned despite a last-ditch attempt by the government to stop it. The government has halted pay rise negotiations in the industrial relations commission until the state budget is handed down. There may be movement on the public sector wage cap at that time. But it's not enough to convince the union to scrap its strike.
