A chapter has been closed on one of Sydney's most notorious and perplexing murders. Today 51- year-old Scott White was jailed for 12 years and seven months for the murder of promising American Maths scholar Dr Scott Johnson in 1988. Both Gay men, they met in a Manly Pub before White hit Johson near a cliff, causing him to fall to his death. Today, the New South Wales Supreme Court found it couldn't conclude the murder was a gay hate crime.
