More migrants arriving in the UK have been spotted despite controversial Rwanda migration policy
  • 2 years ago
More Border Force vessels were spotted arriving to unload migrants in Dover today (Monday). One arrived at around 8.45 am with roughly 40-50 migrants on-board. This comes despite the recent announcement of the Rwanda policy. Announced in mid-April, the policy will see thousands of UK-bound asylum seekers sent there. It is thought that the controversial policy would deter migrants from making the crossing. That coupled with a fortnight of unfavourable weather stopped crossings for some time before boats were spotted for the first time again yesterday. Photographer Steve Laws captured the pictures and videos showing the brave migrants as they arrived. It is expected more will arrive over the coming days.
