Need to focus on non-kinetic means of warfare: Army Chief on Russia-Ukraine conflict

While speaking on the Russia-Ukraine Conflict, the newly-appointed Army Chief Manoj Pande on May 01 emphasised the importance of non-kinetic means of warfare, such as information and cyber warfare.
Speaking to ANI, the Army Chief said, “The ongoing conflict has brought out that the conventional wars are there to stay and are still relevant. We need to continue to focus on our capability development to fight a conventional war.”
“Russia-Ukraine conflict has bought to the fore, the importance of non-kinetic means of warfare, such as information and cyber warfare. We need to build our capabilities as we prepare ourselves for future conflict,” he added.
