Labor promises hundreds of millions for regional housing

One hundred million dollars to build new houses and two hundred more for repairs, for some of the most remote residents in Australia. That's the pledge made by Federal Labor today which the party says will help ease the pressure of overcrowding and social dysfunction in some of the nation's far-flung indigenous communities.
